"Tattered and Tangled" A Garden Party

 I am happy to say it was among one of the pieces chosen for the Art Show at Zinnia in Pasadena.

Rudy Boy

This is a friend of  ours Rudy, he has lung cancer. He is one the kindest guys I know. He wanted me to do a picture for him.  My husband gave me his picture and said it well come to you.  As I ponder on what to do for him, this verse in the Bible came to me.  Little did I know this is his favorite scripture. I like to call this a God thing.  So I went to my neighbors house to dig through his wood to make the cross.  I think  he was very happy with the way it turned out.  Just love doing photo transfers.  

A Little Birdie Told Me So

This is my first attempt at using Beeswax.  I took a 2 x 4 & did several layers of paint, using the darkest color for the underneath. I did try the crackle paste on top but did not work out so well but, that's ok. A little bit of sanding & I'm on my way to painting.  I used Soft Gel Medium to transfer my drawing onto the wood & painted my Angel w/acrylic paints.  For her wings I used Gold leaf paint.  Then the fun part.... the wax, a little scary at first but I think she turned out nice.

Sister's

This is a picture of my Grandma and her sister. They would spend many days at the beach with each other.  It makes me wonder what they were thinking of sitting there.  This picture was done on an 8" x 10"canvas, with some collage, stamps, acrylic paints. Love these colors! I think there becoming my new favorite colors.  

Gee Gee - aka for Great Grandma

This is a picture of my Great Grandma.  She had a love for the western days. I decided to try my first photo gel transfer. The paper I used for the photo was a little thick, which made it hard to wipe off  after I transfered the photo. Made some holes but a little collage and wha la! 

Christmas Present

Every year right before Christmas my son's Grandpa, aka: papa buys molding clay so my son can make him his Christmas present.  So this year my son made me something, this beautiful little bird bath with three little red birds.  I love it!  Oh, and did I tell you his birthday is on Christmas and he turned 16! This is my favorite gift of all. Thank you!
